About Weekly Talks
In the fall of 1397/2019, based on the students' potential capabilities and their interests, several of the students under the supervision of Prof. Ghodsi decided to have weekly sessions on algorithmic topics. At first, it was composed of computational geometry related topics. Then internet-specific concepts that mainly focused on web structures and web search emerged. Later other algorithmic topics like algorithmic game theory emerged. In these sessions, that are being held weekly, one of the students talks about a previously approved topic. The topics are closely related to the lecture research area and may lead to some useful feedback. Our sessions will be about computational geometry, internet algorithms, game theory, and streaming algorithms periodically. We will schedule the concepts for at least one month in advance. Contributing to these sessions is free for other students, and just the session room's capacity may limit it. However, contributors must talk about some topics based on the schedule and their preparation.
